The graph below shows that the side panel fan still continues to have a massive positive effect on cooling even with three fans installed the three setups that performed the best in this test all included a side panel fan. In these type of pc cases the position of the psu fan should be kept down only because they generally don t have vents at the top panel but if somehow your case has top vents for psu then you can keep the fan position in upwards direction for better airflow and cooling performance for the psu. According to tests done they are the most important fans in your case.

Balance your air pressure. Air should travel in clear path through the case. 1x fan in the rear top of the case behind and above the cpu exhaust. The side with the guard motor support lastly the fan airflow can be identified by the arrow markings on the fan.

You will also be able to identify the exhaust side as you will see power wires entering the fan motor.

You should also heed the placement of the fans. Most cpu coolers can be mounted in any cardinal direction to help achieve this and to make it easier to clear other internal components.

By changing the direction a fan is mounted it can act as either an intake or exhaust.
